Garnet, Grit, and Go Time! Gamecocks prepare for CFCS kickoff.

There's a new chapter beginning in Columbia, South Carolina. The garnet and black are getting ready for another season of CFCS football, and there's a familiar face taking over the sidelines. After his time at Florida State, Coach srussi is making the move to South Carolina with a fresh perspective and a roster full of intriguing possibilities.
And while nobody is handing out trophies in October, there's certainly plenty to look forward to in Gamecock country.
It starts with LaNorris Sellers. The talented quarterback brings a combination of size and athleticism that makes him one of the more exciting players to watch heading into the season. Whether he's extending a play with his legs or finding a receiver downfield, Sellers gives South Carolina a chance to make something happen on any given snap.
Defensively, South Carolina has some personalities worth keeping an eye on as well. Judge Collier is ready to hold court in the secondary. And with a name like that, you just know somebody is eventually getting sentenced to a pick-six. Meanwhile, Dylan Stewart brings serious talent to the defensive front. Together with the rest of the unit, they'll look to give the Gamecocks the kind of defensive consistency that can make a difference over the course of a long season.
For Coach srussi, the move represents an opportunity to start something new. His time at Florida State provided plenty of experience and lessons along the way. Now the challenge is bringing those experiences to Columbia while building a team that competes every week and continues improving as the season progresses.
There will be adjustments. There will be challenges. And like every CFCS season, there will probably be a few Saturdays that leave everyone wondering what on earth just happened.
But that's college football.
The expectations are simple. Compete hard. Play smart. Get better each week. And hopefully give the folks wearing garnet and black something to cheer about along the way.
A new team. A new challenge. A new opportunity.
The Gamecocks are getting ready. The dust is settling. And somewhere in Columbia, the sound of Sandstorm is getting a little louder.
Let the games begin!
